A TOTALY LAST MINUTE CALENDAR - un calendario dell'ultimo minuto

Lo so, è una cosa completamente last minute ma, siccome sono a casa con il raffreddore che non mi vuol far respirare (letteralmente!!) ho deciso di fare questo calendario.
Non ne ho mai fatto uno perchè non ho mai passato nemmeno un minuto a pensare a come farlo.
L'altra notte, invece, ho pensato "Beh, perchè no?!" E' un progetto di un pomeriggio, prende davvero poco tempo. Così ieri  ho acceso il pc con questa intenzione!!

I know this is totally last minute but I since I'm home sick with a cold who won't let me breathe ( literally!!) I decided to make this calendar.
I never did one because I never actually spent a minute thinking about how to make it.
Last night, I though "Well, why not?!".
It's an afternoon project, takes very little time.
So yesterday I started the pc with this intention!!!






Le cose di cui avrete bisogno (a parte il computer) sono: stampante, normale carta da fotocopie, carta per foto, colla, taglierina (I used this one I bought from Opitec).

Per prima cosa ho deciso come doveva essere. Per dire la verità ho guardato il calendario della barra del desktop e ho visto come era diviso.

Ho aperto una nuovo file Word e ho fatto una tabella con 7 colonne e 5 o 6 righe ( dipende dal mese).

Poi ho deciso quale font usare e siccome sono ancora fino al collo e oltre nel mood de Il Signore degli Anelli e Lo Hobbit ho decido per un font chiamato Party Business ho scaricato da un sito chiamato Merry Brandybuck.

Ho impostato le pagine in orizzontali, poi ho scritto i mesi, i giorni e i numeri dei giorni su ogni tabella, lasciando dello spazio per le foto che avrei incluso.

The things you will need will be (apart from the computer): printer, normal white paper, photo paper, glue, cutting tool (I used this one I bought from Opitec).
First of all I decided how it had to be. To be honest I watched the bottom bar of the desktop calendar and saw how it was divided.
So I opened a new Word file and made a table with 7 columns and 5 or 6 lines ( it depends on the month).
Then I decided which font to use and since I'm still deep down in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit mood I decided on a font called Party Business I downloaded from the Merry Brandybuck website.
I installed the pages to be orizzontal, then I wrote all the months, the days and the number of the days on each table and then printed them, leaving some space for the pics I would have included.

Una volta stampati i fogli li ho ritagliati della misura giusta e ho poi stampato le foto che, dopo aver ritagliato in modo che non uscissero dal foglio e non salissero sopra il calendario, ho incollato con la colla. Ho fatto ancora una "copertina", dei buchini ai lati e voilà!

Once printed I cut the papers the right measure and then printed the pics that, once I cut so that they would stick out of the paper or on the month of the calendar, I glued them with a glue stick. Then I made also a sort of "cover", with little holes on the sides and voilà!

Avrei potuto metterele foto di qualsiasi altra cosa che amo, ma siccome voglio molto bene al mio nipotino e per me è la cosa più carina al mondo ho deciso così!!! Di sicuro non avrò alcun rimpianto durante l'anno per la scelta!

I could have put the picture of anything else I love, but since I love my nephew very much and he's the cutest thing in the world to me I decided on him!!! I'll definetly have no regrets for this choice during the year!
And voilà!
