Non so come funzioni nel resto del mondo, ma qui in Italia la calza della Befana è una tradizione.
Svuotare la calza al mattino è sempre stato molto divertente, anche perchè la "mia Befana", aka Mamma, ha sempre riempito i collant, quindi ci stavano un sacco di cose.
Il Nano ormai ha due anni e ora è più divertente fare le cose per lui, perchè inizia a capire. Così quest'anno la zia Fede ha deciso di fargli la calza!!!
I don't know how it works in the rest of the world, but here in Italy the Epiphany sock is a tradition.
Emptying it in the morning was always fun, even because " my own Epiphany", aka Mom, always filled my stockings, so it could fit plenty!!!
The Kid is now two and now is much funnier to make things for him, because he starts to understand. So this year, auntie Feddy decided to make him the sock!!
Le cose di cui avrete bisogno sono: stoffa (io ho usato questo feltro carinissimo, molto festivo!), forbici, filo, carta modello, spilli.
The things you'll need are: fabric (I used this cute felt, very festive!), scissors, thread, pattern, pins.
Prima di tutto ho fatto un carta modello di 34 cm di altezza e 25 cm di lunghezza del piede, ma poi sta tutto a voi e alla vostra fantasia.
First of all I created a pattern that measured 34 cm heights and the foot was 25 cm lenght, but the it's all up to you and your fantasy.
Con questo come guida ho tagliato il feltro, lasciando un margine per le cuciture. Quando l'ho cucito l'orlo nella parte superiore non l'ho chiuso ma ho lasciato un piccolo spazio per infilare lo spago, e dopo ho chiuso l'apertura.
With this as a guide I vut the felt, leaving seam allowance. When I sewed the top hem I left it a bit open because I had to stick in the twine, and then I closed it.
E voilà! Molto semplice vero?! Ora non resta che riempirla di dolcetti e con un libretto sulla befana che ho trovato nascosto nella libreria dove ho lavorato quest'estate e portarla da mia sorella!!!!
