LINCOLN- a movie review

Ho voluto andare a vedere questo film principalmente perchè della storia di questo importante personaggio storico sapevo solo che era il promotore della liberazione degli schiavi negli USA e che è stato ucciso a teatro da John Wilkes Booth.

I wanted to go see this movie first of all because of this important historic character I only knew that we wanted slaves freedom in the USA and that he was killed at the theatre by John Wilkes Booth.

Detto questo non posso garantire sulla storicità degli eventi narrativi, ma essendo un film americano e considerando quanto importante sia per loro la figura di Abraham Lincoln spero sia molto verosimile.
Ho scoperto che era un uomo di grandi principi, che aveva perso un figlio in un attentato e che ha un pò barattato per ottenere la liberazione dei neri!
La cosa, ovviamente, non mi distrurba affatto.
Credo però che se sapesse quanto tempo è stato necessario affinchè la parità diventasse reale, si rivolterebbe nella tomba, considerando quante discriminazioni ci sono ancora al giorno d'oggi.

That said, I cannot garantee on truthfulness of the events narrated, but being an american movie and considering how important is Abraham Lincoln is for them I hope the movie is likely.
I found out that he was a man of great principles, that he lost a son in an attempt to his life and that he kind of  "traded" to gain black people's freedom!
The thing, of course, doesn't bother me.
I think, though, that if he knew how much it took to have equality to become a real thing, he'd turn into his grave, considering how many discriminations there still are.

Ho apprezzato molto l'interpretazione del premio Oscar Daniel Day Lewis e anche il personaggio interpretato da Tommy Lee Jones, anche prima della sorpresa finale! ( Se l'avete visto sapete di cosa sto parlando!!)
Ovviamente il film non ha un bel finale, a parte la parte politica della storia, ma quando si va a vedere un film storico come questo e si sanno un sacco di cose sul personaggio in questione è ovvio quale sarà il finale!
Il mio giudizio generale è che è un film veramente bello e, soprattutto, un film da vedere (anche se non vi piace il genere!!).

I really appreciated Oscar winning actor Daniel Day Lewis interpretation and the character played by Tommy Lee Jones, even before the final surprise! (If you saw it you'd know what I'm talking about!!)
Of course the movie does not have a happy ending, apart from the political side of the story, but when you go to see a movie like this you kinda know what's coming!
Anyway, my opinion is that is a really good movie and, most of all, a movie to watch, even if you don't like the kind!!
