DIY WALL CLOCK

Nell'ingresso di casa avevo un grosso muro bianco sul quale volevo assolutamente fare qualcosa.
Così ho cercato un pò di idee sul web ma niente di quello che trovavo andava bene ( troppo invasivo, non piaceva al Marito, troppo complicato...) finchè non ho trovato questa foto e, senza neanche andare a leggere il blog di riferimento, ho sottoposto l'idea al Marito e anche a lui piaceva!

In my living room I had this giant white wall on which I wanted to absolutely something.
So I looked for some ideas on the web but nothing of what I found was good enough ( too big, the Husband didn't like it, too complicated...) until I found this picture and, without even going to read the post, I submitted the idea to the Husband and he liked it too!

Ho comprato 12 cornici all'IKEA, il marito ha ordinato il meccanismo dell'orologio su questo negozio Ebay, ho mandato a stampare le foto e via ai lavori!
Per prima cosa abbiamo piantato il chiodo per reggere il meccanismo e con uno spago e una matita abbiamo tracciato la circonferenza desiderata, che in questo caso è leggermente più grande di quella delle lancette.
Ho messo le foto nelle cornici ( 4 foto verticali e 8 orizzontali) e le ho attaccate al muro usando degli adesivi rimovibili.

I bought 12 frames at IKEA, the Husband bought the clock mechanism su questo negozio Ebay,I sent the photos to print and then I started to work!

First of all we put the nail on the wall to hold the mechanism and with some twine and a pencile we drawn a circle of the size we wanted, which in this case is a bit bigger then the  hands.

I put the pictures in the frames ( 4 vertical and 8 horizontal) and I stuck them to the wall using removable stickers.



E la cosa più bella è che le foto di possono cambiare ogni volta che si vuole, quindi quando nascerà il nuovo nano/a delle foto nuove!

The best thing about it is that you can change the pictures every time you want, so when we'll have the new kid we can put other pictures!

Carino, vero? Trovo che sia un modo veloce e economico per:

• usare le foto di famiglia preferite
• avere un bell'orologio in casa
• riempire un muro spoglio.

XMAS HOME DECORATION!!!

Adoro il Natale!
E' la mia festa preferita anche se sono atea.
Mi piace l'atmosfera, i colori, gli odori, i regali, le cene,...
Con l'avvicinarsi del periodo cerco di inventarmi nuove decorazioni per la casa, anche se quest'anno tutta la mia attenzione è andata al calendario dell'avvento e quindi niente novità (ma ho grandi idee per il prossimo anno!!).

With Christmas time getting closer I usually try to come up with new house decorations, even if this year all my attentions went to the advent calendar so no news ( but I already have big ideas for next year!!).
