Questo gioco arriva direttamente dall'Inghilterra ed è fantatico.

This toy comes straight from the UK and it's amazing.

Si chiama Aquadoodle e consiste in due strati di tessuto che vengono scritti con una speciale penna che viene riempita con acqua.

It's name is Aquadoodle and is made of two layers of fabric that are written with a special pen that has to be filled with water.

Ne esistono molte versioni, infatti il nostro e quello della nostra amichetta Sonia sono diversi.
Il nostro, oltre ad essere più grande, scrive blu e ha degli stencil marini, mentre l'altro è più piccolo, ma tra gli strati di tessuto ne ha altri colorati quindi il suo scrive in 4 diversi colori e sul bordo ha l'alfabeto.
Il bello è che è un gioco infinito poichè basta farlo asciugare e si può rincominciare a disegnare!
Inoltre essendo in tessuto è facile da piegare ed è molto comodo portarlo in vacanza: occupa pochissimo spazio!!!

You can find many versions, infact ours and the one belonging to our friend Sonia are different.
Our, apart from being bigger, writes blue and has sea themed stencils, while the other one is smaller, but between the layers of fabric has others that are coloured so hers writes in 4 different colours and has the alphabet on the edge.
The nice thing about it is that it's an infinite toy because you just have to let it dry and it's ready to be written on again!
And being made with fabric is easy to fold and very easy to bring on vacations: gets very little space!!!!

PLAYTIME DIARIES 4

Vi ho già parlato della passione di Andrea per gli acquerelli.
Lo scorso anno ho comprato alla fiera di Torino, Manualmente, questo speciale set di pennelli francesi.

I've told before of Andrea's passion with watercolours.
Last year I bought at a fair in Turin, Manualmente, this special set of french brushes.

Come potete vedere nella foto, all'interno c'è un set di colori (si possono spostare a piacimento), un contenitore per l'acqua e una spugna per tamponare gli eccessi ed uno strani set di pennelli in spugna che servono per utilizzare piú colori per volta.

Ovviamente non siamo bravi come gli standisti che erano alla fiera ma é divertente e diverso e il Nano lo apprezza molto.

As you can see in the picture, in the box there's a set of colours ( that you can move if you want), a water container and a sponge to dab the excess and a weird set of brushes with sponges that are made to use more colours at a time.
Of course we're not as good as the stand personel that were at the fair but it's fun and different and the Kid loves it.

PLAYTIME DIARIES 3

Una delle attività "da tempo brutto" che il Nano preferisce sono gli acquerelli. Una delle prime cose che mi chiede al mattino è che tempo fa.
Ecco come si svolge, più o meno, la conversazione.
Lui: "Oggi è brutto mamma?"
Io: "Eh si Andrea, oggi piove. Non possiamo uscire"
Lui: "Piove? Allora oggi possiamo dipingere!!! Yuppie!!!"

One of the "bad weather" activity that the Kid loves are watercolours. One of the first things he'll ask me when he wakes up is how's the weather outside.
Here's how our conversation usually is.
Him: " Is it bad outside, mommy?"
Me: " Yes, Andrea, today's raining. We can't go out"
Him: "It's raining? So we can paint today!!!! Yuppie!!!"

Così liberiamo il tavolino del salotto, mettiamo una vecchia tovaglia cerata rubata alla nonna e la fantastica mantella della linea MÅLA  che potete trovare da Ikea, gli taglio un foglio da un rotolo da plotter (che abbiamo appositamente comprato) e tiriamo fuori i nostri gli acquerelli di Tiger.
Recuperato un contenitore pesante per l'acqua (ho il terrore che rovesci l'acqua e mi lavi il salotto) non resta che dare libero sfogo all'immaginazione!!

So we clear out the coffee table, put on it an old waxed tablecloth stolen from granma and this amazing cape of the line MÅLA that you can find at Ikea, then I cut for him a piece of paper from the roll for plotters (which we bought for him) and take out Tiger watercolours.
I'll use a heavy container for water (I'm terrified that he'll spill the water and that he'll flood the living room) then you'll just have to free your creativity!!

Fatelo anche voi con i vostri bimbi. Si divertiranno tantissimo e anche voi!!! Ale

And you should do it with them. They'll have fun and so will you!!! Ale

PLAYTIME DIARIES 2

Qualche giorno fa ha abbiamo scoperto un posticino fantastico non molto distante da casa nostra.
Sempre alla ricerca di posti dove poter andare col Nano nei giorni di pioggia (non possiamo sempre dipingere!) abbiamo Googolato "parchi giochi bimbi al chiuso" e tra le varie risposte abbiamo trovato questo che era aperto e abbiamo deciso di provare ad andare.
Il posto si chiama Giocoland ed è molto carino.
E' fornito di giochi adatti a bimbi di varie età, è molto pulito (e noi siamo andati in un giorno di diluvio universale quindi è un grosso pregio!!), c'è una piccola area per i genitori, un bar e del personale molto gentile!
C'è la mitica vasca con le palline (Nano ha passato buona parte del pomeriggio a raccogliere tutte le palline che trovava e a riportarle nella vasca), un castello gonfiabile, un percorso che termina con uno scivolo, giocattoli vari e tappetoni morbidi ovunque così che chi cade non si fa troppo male. Requisito fondamentale per poter giocare sono i calzini antiscivolo e tanta fantasia!

A couple of days ago we found this amazing little place not too far from our house.
We're always looking for places where we can go with the Kid on raining days (we can't always paint!), so we Googled "kids indoor playgrounds" and between the many results we found this one that was open so we decided to give it a try.
The place is called Giocoland and it's really nice.
It has lots of games for children of all ages, it's really clean (and since we went on a great flood so it's a plus score for them!!), there's a little area for parents, a bar and really nice staff!
There is the beloved ball pool (the Kid spent the most of the afternoon picking up the balls he was finding around and putting them back in the pool), an inflatable castle, a route ending with a slide, many toys and those big soft carpets everywhere so that if any kid falls won't hurt him/herself. Fundamental requirement to play are non-slip socks and lots of fantasy!



Hanno anche un grosso salone al piano inferiore per le feste. Ha solo un difetto: è impossibile portare via i bambini!!!! Se abitate in Torino e dintorni vi consiglio vivamente di provarlo!!

They also have a large lounge downstairs for parties. It has a big weak spot: it's impossible to take kids away!!! If you live in Turin and surroundings I higly recommend to try it!!

PLAYTIME DIARIES

Facendo la mamma a tempo pieno mi trovo, a volte, nella necessità di intrattenere il Nano che, a causa del meteo e delle malattie, non può andare a giocare fuori.
Così ho riesumato vecchi ricordi dell'asilo e ho cercato di vedere se funzionavano.
Oggi abbiamo provato con i colori a dita. Mi sono sembrati la cosa migliore con cui iniziare.
Così, armata di tovaglia cerata, colori e borse di carta aperte, l'ho denudato il più possibile e abbiamo dato il via a lavori.
Che altro dire? Giudicate voi se a lui è piaciuto!!

Being a full time mom, sometimes I find myself in the need to entertain the Kid that, because of bad weather or little diseases, can't go out to play.
So I took out some kindergarten memories and tried to see if they worked.
Today we tried finger paint. I thought it was the best thing to start with.
So, equipped with waxed tablecloth, paint and old paper shopping bags, I stripped him as much as I could and started working.
What else? Well, see it for yourselves if he liked it!!!
