Sabato sera io e il marito siamo stati a vedere lo spettacolo del "Cirque du Soleil". Quest'anno proponevano "Dralion" che è una fusione tra le tecniche del circo classico cinese (rappresentato dal drago) e le moderne tecniche circensi occidentali (rappresentate dal leone).Filo conduttore dello spettacolo è la fusione tra uomo e natura e i quattro elementi prendono forma umana (terra è vestita in ocra, acqua in verde, aria in blu e fuoco in rosso) mentre le figure che rappresentano l'armonia tra gli elementi sono vestite in oro e sono anche i cantanti della colonna sonora. Lo sfondo è una costruzione di circa 18 metri di lunghezza e 8 di altezza e ricorda un forte o un tempio cinese. Sull'esterno sono presenti delle piattaforme che servono per alcuni numeri dello spettacolo.
A me è piaciuto moltissimo e devo dire che le performance sono state per la maggior parte bellissime e coinvolgenti. I miei preferiti sono stati i trampolini: quei pazzi saltavano giù dalla struttura di fondo e ci risalivano, si scambiavano di posto in volo,... una roba pazzesca!
Un'altro numero che ci è piaciuto molto è stato quello di una ragazza che fa delle robe assurde appesa a un cavo e con il solo ausilio di un cerchio (sfortunatamente non ho trovato foto a riguardo!!). Strano, ma in senso buono, è stato anche il numero con le bandiere, che non erano tradizionale ma si sviluppavano in altezza e questi ragazzi le facevano girare come se fossero state alte 10 cm! E che dire di quelli che saltavano tra dei cerchi impilati uno sull'altro? Erano talmente veloci che sembrava ce ne fossero milioni sul palco (anche se poi in realtà erano veramente tanti!!).
Saturday night the Husband and I went to see the "Cirque du Soleil" show. This year they proposed "Dralion", which is a fusion between the classic chinese circus tecniques ( represented by the dragon) and the western modern circus tecniques ( represented by the lion). Common thread in the show is the fusion between man and nature and the four elements coming to life in human form ( Earth is dressed in ocher, Water in green, Air in blue and Fire in red) while those who represent the harmony are dressed in gold and are, also, the singers of the soundtrack. The background is a construction of about 18 metres tall and 8 long and reminds a fort or a chinese temple. On the outside there are many platforms that are used in the show.
I really loved it and I must say that their performances were, for most of the time, beautiful and engaging. My faves were the trampolines: those crazy people were jumping from the construction and climbed up, changing place while they were "flying"... crazy stuff! An other number that we both liked very much one where there was a girl doing amazing stuff hanging by a cable and only using a big ring (unfortunately I couldn't find pics of this!!). Weird, but in a good way, was the number with the flags, which wasn't traditional but it was developing in height and these guys where making them sping like they were little! And what to say about those who jumped into rings on the other? There were so quick that it seemed like they were a million on the stage ( also if they are a lot anyway!!)
Per non parlare del fusto con uno strano attrezzo fatto da due ruote incastrate a croce: vi dico solo che ad un certo punto sembrava l'uomo vitruviano!!!
Anche i numeri più classici come le equilibriste, il giocoliere e la contorsionista sono stati davvero bellissimi!
And then there was a hottie with a weird thing who did two stuck wheels like a cross: I'm just saying that at a point he looked like the vitruvian man!!!
The most classic numbers like the equilibrists, the juggler and the contorsionist were really amazing!
Rispetto a "Alegria" (che abbiamo visto lo scorso anno), la musica è suonata dal vivo e che la piattaforma centrale era rotante e questo permetteva una visione migliore delle pose di alcuni numeri. Inoltre a me lo spettacolo è parso più fluido tra un numero e l'altro e mi è piaciuto il fatto che sul palco non ci fosse mai solo un artista ma che altri atleti facessero da "sfondo".
Il Marito, invece, ha preferito lo spettacolo dello scorso anno perchè c'era meno gente sul palco!
Una menzione va necessariamente fatta ai clown che sono stati fantastici e i cui numeri sono stati sempre esilaranti!!
Compared to Alegria (whichi we saw last year), the music is live and the central platform was rotating and this allowed a better view for the best poses in some numbers. Then, to me, the show looked like it was flowing better between a number to the other and I liked that on the stage there wasn't only the was doing the stunts but others like they were part of the background".
The Husband, instead, liked Alegria better because there were less people on the stage!
Lets mention the clows, too, whose numbers are always funny and they were amazing!!
In conclusione vi dico che se questi meravigliosi atleti arrivano nella vostra città dovete assolutamente andarli a vedere: è un pò caro ma vale la pena di fare questo investimento. Se potete, poi, preferite posti centrali ma non ne parterre, scegliete quelli a metà altezza (secondo me si vede meglio e costano anche un po' meno!!)
In conclusion let me tell that if these amaing artists come into your town you should go see them: it's a little expensive but it's totally worth it. If can choose the seats I suggest the central spots but not parterre, choose those in middle height (I think you can see better from there and they cost a bit less!!)
