Reading was a "late" passion for me. It started during a meteorogically disastrous summer between 6th and 7th grade ( like a million years ago!).
In ogni caso prima di iniziare a dirvi i miei pensieri su quello che leggo credo sia doveroso che sappiate come scelgo i libri da leggere (e a cosa andate in contro!)
In libreria, se lasciata libera e senza limiti di spesa, applico la teoria del caos, il che vuol dire che gironzolo tra gli scaffali e se qualcosa mi colpisce (una parola, un colore, un disegno...) il libro è mio!
Anyway before I start giving you my thoughts on what I read, I think you should know how I choose the books to read (and what you're getting yourselves into!).
In a bookstore, I nobody bothers me and I don't have a budget, I apply the chaos theory, which means that, while I go through the shelves and if something "hits me" (like a word, a colour, a picture...) the book is mine!
A casa la libreria è divisa in ordine alfabetico ma i libri possono restare li intoccati anche per anni. Infatti vado a sensazioni nel momento ogni volta che decido cosa leggere. A volte leggo "in serie" più libri di un autore, altre volte cambio genere per associazioni mentali logiche (solo per me!), altre ancora si impone su tutto l'amore per un autore!
At home my library is divided into alphabetical order but books can stay there untouched even for years. Infact I go with my guts ( metaphorically!) everytime I decide which one to read. Sometimes I'm able to read all the books I own of an author in a row, sometimes I change kind of book for mental assosiations logical (only to me!), at times for the love for the author!
Per darvi un esempio: ho iniziato la serie "Twilight" perchè mi piaceva la copertina, dopo i primi 3 libri (il quarto era in stesura) ho letto "Dracula"di Bram Stocker e poi è iniziato il periodo Jane Austen che è finito all'uscita di un libro di Isabell Allende (uno dei miei autori preferiti).
Insomma un vero manicomio!
A breve i miei pensieri sui libri che leggo (soprattutto quelli della Rory Gilmore Challenge).
For example: I started reading "Twilight" because I liked its cover, and after the first three books (the forth had to be printed) I read Bram Stocker's "Dracula" then the Jane Austen period started, which ended when Isabel Allende last book was out (she's one of my faves!).
I mean, it's like crazy!
Soon my thoughts on the books I've read ( especially the ones of the Rory Gilmore Challenge).
