Come molti, mi sono avvicinata a IL CODICE DA VINCI quando stava per uscire al cinema. Mi ricordo di averlo letto al mare quando avevo all'incirca 16 anni.
IL CODICE DA VINCI segue il professore di simbologia Robert Langdon a Parigi, dove viene accusato dell'omicidio del curatore del Louvre, Jacques Saunier. Ma con l'aiuto della nipote di quest'ultimo, Sophie, e dello studioso Sir Leigh Teabing riesce a scoprire la verità, grazie anche a vari indizi nascosti nelle opere d'arte di Leonardo da Vinci. Durante questo percorso verso la verità, si incrocia quello di un'antica società segreta nota come Priorato di Sion, che sta nascondendo un segreto che potrebbe cambiare la visione delle fondamenta del Cristianesimo per come viene raccontato dalla Chiesa Cattolica.
Like many other people, I grew closer to THE DA VINCI CODE when it was about to be in cinemas. I can remember myself reading it at the beach, when I was about 16.
THE DA VINCI CODE follows the symbology Harvard professor, Robert Langdon in Paris, where he's suspected for the murder of the Louvre curator, Jacques Saunier. But the help this last one's granddaughter, Sophie, and the scholar Sir Leigh Teabing finds out the truth, thanks to some clues hidden in some of Leonardo's art. During this way to the truth, we also cross the path of an anchient secret society known as the Priory of Sion, that has been hiding a secret that might change the view of the foundation of Christianity as it has always been told by the Catholic Church.
Anche se l'inizio per me è stato un pò lento, andando avanti con la lettura e con la suspence crescente mi è piaciuto sempre di più. Devo dire che questi misteri mi affascinano. Ora non ricordo benissimo gli avvenimenti come vengono descritti nel libro come posso ricordarmi il film, che ho visto infinite volte, ma quei "segreti" su Leonardo da Vinci, la Chiesa, l'Opus Dei ed altro sono davvero intriganti, tanto che ho addirittura cercato in internet se veramente esisteva un Vangelo scritto da Maria Maddalena! Non l'ho trovato, in caso ve lo chiedeste!!! :-)
Even if at the beginning I found the story slow, when I kept reading and with the suspence growing on me I liked it even more. I must say that these kind of mysteries fascinate me. I don't remember well the facts told in the book as much as I might remember the movie, which I've seen several times, but all these "secrets" about Leonardo da Vinci, the Church, Opus Dei and secret societies are really intiguing, so much that I even looked on line if a Mary Magdalene Gospel could possibily exist! I haven't found it, in case you were wondering!!! :-)
Ogni volta che vedo L'ULTIMA CENA di Leonardo per me ormai è un'esperienza diversa. Noto che non ci sono calici, che Gesù e il personaggio alla sua sinistra potrebbe o non potrebbe essere Maria Maddalena, che vestono con gli stessi colori, e molte altre cose, che se anche voi avete visto il film e/o letto il libro avrete notato e ogni volta ci farete caso.
Every time I look at Leonardo's THE LAST SUPPER, now to me is a very different experience. I can see that there's no chalice, that Jesus and the person sitting at his left could or could not be Mary Magdalene, that they wear the same colours, and so many other things that, if you saw the movie and/or read the book, too, might have noticed and every time you might look for these things.
Tempo fa mi trovavo a Lucca e sono andata a vedere una mostra su Leonardo da Vinci, e c'erano alcune delle sue scoperte e delle sue invenzioni e c'erano anche i suoi appunti. Non so se vi ricordate ma nel libro/film viene menzionato il fatto che scriveva i suoi appunti al contrario in modo che nessuno potesse decifrarli, ed è stato fantastico trovare tutte queste cose e poterle vedere con i propri occhi!!!

Some time ago I was in Lucca and I went to visit an exhibit about Leonardo da Vinci, and there were some of his discoveries and inventions and there were also some of his notes. I don't know if you can remember but in the book/movies it's mentioned that he used to write his notes backwards so that no one could decipher them, and actually it was amazing to me to find all those things and see them with my own eyes!!!
