STORAGE ROOM ORGANIZATION

Terza tappa del mio "riorganizzare" è stato lo sgabuzzino delle scarpe.
Inutile dirvi da quanto non veniva sistemato, anche perchè normalmente arriviamo a casa, ci togliamo le scarpe, le buttiamo lì dentro e ci mettiamo le ciabatte. Tutto qui! E' un pò quello che fanno tutti, no?!

Third stage of my "reorganization" for the storage room filled with shoes.
Useless to say how long has been since the last time it has been reordered, also because normally we come home, take the shoes off, toss them in there and put the slippers on. That's it! It's what everyone does, doesn't it?!

Anche qui ho svuotato tutto e fatto un pò di scelta su cosa tenere e cosa buttare ( non ho dato nulla in beneficienza perchè erano tutte scarpe vecchie e rovinate. Basta dirvi che ho le Dr. Martens dai tempi delle superiori!!).
Poi ho creato un porta scarpe da una scatola grossa in modo che tenesse almeno 12 paia di scarpe, più che altro estive. Ho dovuto abbassare gli scaffali perchè non ci stava nel mobile.
La scatola che ho utilizzato aveva già dei divisori perchè conteneva bottiglie d'olio, ho fissato i divisori con del nastro adesivo sia sopra che sotto, perchè altrimenti si sarebbero mossi continuamente. Al momento l'ho lasciata così, senza fare alcuna decorazione, magari in futuro potrei dipingerla o rivestirla. Vedremo.

I emptied it all too and chose what to keep and what to toss away (nothing was donated because they were all old and ruined shoes. I just need to tell you that I have Dr. Martens shoes since I was in high school!!).
Then I created a shoes holder with a box big enough to hold at least 12 shoes, the summer kind. I had to lower the shelves because it couldn't fit in the cabinet.
The box I've used had dividers because it was a oil bottle box. I fixed the the dividers with some tape both up and down, otherwise they would move constantly. At the moment, though, I left it like this, without decorations, but maybe in the future I might consider painting it or cover it. We'll see.

Le altre scarpe le ho tenute nelle loro scatole (ma solo perchè avevo solo uno scatolone, ma appena ne avrò un altro completerò questo makeover) e lo ho sistemate in modo da vedere bene cosa c'è in ognuna di esse, e le ho anche divise per stagione.

Ho tenuto fuori solo un paio di scarpe che uso al momento e voilà!

The other shoes I kept them in their boxes ( but only because I didn't have an other box with me, but as soon as I can lay hands on it I'll complete this makeover) I fixed them in a way so that we could see what was in there and I divided them for seasons.
I just kept out the shoes that I'm using at the moment and voila!

WARDROBE ORGANIZATION

Sempre sull'onda della sindrome del nido di cui vi ho parlato qui ho messo mano all'armadio.
Per prima cosa confesso che, a parte le pulizie di stagione, in quasi 10 anni non avevo mai avuto un ordine umano nell'armadio, sempre un gran casino!

Always following the nest syndrome I talked to you about here I started putting my hands on the wardrobe.
First of all I must say that, a part from the spring season cleanings, in almost 10 years I've never put my wardrobe in an human order, always a mess!  



Devo confessare, oltretutto, che solo la mia parte aveva bisogno di una bella sistemata, anche perchè quella del Marito è sempre molto ordinata!
Aiutata da Fede, ho svuotato completamente l'armadio, trovando cose di cui non ricordavo nemmeno l'esistenza, e ho provato quasi tutto!

And I must confess that just my part needed fixing, because the Husband's part is always so ordered!
With some help from Fede, I completely emptied the wardrobe, finding stuff I didn't even remember of, and I tried on almost everything!

Ho messo via con ordine 1/3 dei vestiti, mentre il resto un pò l'ho messo da parte per tentare delle modifiche e un bel pò è finito in scatoloni che sono andate in beneficienza.

I put away at least 1/3 of the clothes, while the rest I kept a part on a side for refashion and the other part went into boxes for donation.

Ora voglio fare una promessa a me stessa

QUESTO LAVORO PRIMA DEL 2024! :-)

Ora devo solo capire come modificare i vestiti che ho messo nella pila del REFASHION!!!

BATHROOM ORGANIZATION

Presa da uno strano, e quantomai ritardato, attacco di "sindrome del nido" (di solito viene alle donne a termine della gravidanza!) ho iniziato a mettere ordine nei mobili di casa, dove regnava sovrano il caos, dopo due anni in cui la regola era "metti dove trovi posto".

Così ho iniziato dal mio bagno, che era il posto messo peggio, viste anche le dimensioni ( è piccolino!).

Taken by a weird, and no doubt late, attack of "nest sindrome" ( that usually takes women in their latest stage of pregnancy!) I started organizing some of my house furniture, where there was absolute caos, after two years where the rule was "put it where it fits".

So I started from my bathroom, which was the worst, since its dimensions!

In realtà, devo ammettere, non ho grandi segreti da rivelarvi su come farlo, basta iniziare e poi tutto viene da se! Un segreto ve lo svelo, però: si guadagna un sacco di spazio!!

Actually, I must confess, I don't have much secrets to help you organize everything, you justhave to start and than it'll all cone for itself!

But I'll tell you a secret: organizing and throwing away unuses and unnecessary things you'll get a lot of space!!!
