Right these day in cinemas there's the Carrie remake, taken from a Stephen King's books, with the amazing Julianne Moore and Chloe Moretz, so this the right time to talk about it!!!!
Carrie White
Carrie White is a shy girl at her last year at high school: she doesn't make friends easily, because she's lived all her life segregated at home for her mother's will, a Christian fundamentalist. She's a victim of bullying and, also because of this, one day she finds out she has the ability to move objects with the power of the mind. Strong of this new discovery, she convinces her mother to let her go to prom, even if she doesn't agree, to which she was invited thanks to her only friend intervention. A class mate, Chris, to whom was prohibited to attend prom for her aggressive behaviour and because she refuses to pay for the insults to Carrie, plans with her boyfriend a joke to embarass her even more in front of the whole school, spilling on her a bucket full of porks' blood. When Carrie and Tommy get crowned, Chris, hidden under the stage makes the blood fall onto Carrie. Suddenly the whole school starts to laugh, teachers included. While Tommy, pissed at this, is looking for the guilty one, the bucket falls on his head and kills him, but everyone just keeps laughing. Carrie, seeing the bullism again, gets mad and blocks all exits with the telekinesis. Fulminates the headmaster and the vice principal through the microphone, the electricity burns all decorations and the school goes up to flames. When everyone's dead she gets out of school, on her way to home she kills everyone she meets. Chris and her boyfriend are the only ones who survived, but trying to run over Carrie with the car, she overturns their car, that goes up to flames and explodes, killing the two. Once home, her mother was waiting for her to sacrifice her to God, because she thinks she's a sinner and possessed from the devil. Carrie gets hurt, but it will be her to kill the mother. Carrie, desperate, with her power makes the house crumble down and dies.

It was my first Stephen King. I was about 12 years old and, like most of the discoveries in life, it was purely casual.
I was back home from a month at the seaside for the colony and I spent it all reading romance novels and I was tired of love stories and I didn't have anything interesting for me at home, and I still didn't know how to choose books at the book shop. A neighbor came to my help and lent me this book. It was love at first reading! After that I read lots of King's books, which became one of my favourite authors, and I must say that I loved them all!
