One of the best books by Stephen King I've ever read! Actually, I ate it!!!

E' stata una lettura estiva che, anche se durata solo qualche giorno e sono passati molti anni ( era l'estate 1998), mi ricordo ancora: stavo delle ore seduta sul davanzale della finestra a leggere!
A essere completamente sincera non ho mai più guardato un hotel, soprattutto se chiuso, con gli stessi occhi!
Per chi non conoscesse la storia il libro parla di una famiglia composta da madre, padre e figlio che vengono assunti come guardiani invernali di un antico hotel situato in un posto sperduto nel mondo ( e dove la neve arriva alle finestre del primo piano!). Niente di strano finchè gli "abitanti" del passato non iniziano a rivelarsi e a condizionare la vita e la psiche dei custodi.
Anche di questo libro è stato un film e devo dire che è uno dei pochi che è veramente uguale al libro ed è veramente famoso.

It was a summer reading that, even if it lasted a couple of days and was many years ago (it was summer 1998), I still remember: I was sitting hours on the windowsill reading!
To be honest I haven't watched a hotel with the same eyes, especially if closed!
To those who don't know the story, the book talk about a family of mother, father and son that are hired as winter guardians for an old hotel located in the middle of nowhere ( and where when it snows the snow goes all the way up the first floor windows!). Nothing strange, until the old "inhabitants" of the place start to reveal and to affect their life and minds.
This too has been transformed into movie and I must say that it's one of the few that it's really like the book and it's really famous.

As usual: watch the movie but read the book as soon as you can, because the images and the sensations King can create are unique!!
