VARANO DE' MELEGARI

Anche quest'anno siamo riusciti a fare la nostra gita di famiglia in pista. La scelta è ricaduta sull'autodromo LigurBike a Varano de' Melegari.

We succeded in having out yearly family trip at a racetrack. We chose the autodrome LigurBike in Varano de' Melegari.

Il viaggio è stato facile nonostante il nano e ben due donne incinte!!!! Siamo partiti prima di pranzo e all'ora giusta ci siamo fermati in un'area di servizio e, dopo aver mangiato, siamo ripartiti: Nano è rimasto sveglio circa 10 secondi!!!!
La seconda sosta l'abbiamo fatta per merenda e benzina vicinissimi alla nostra meta. La sistemazione è stata veloce e il montaggio delle tende realizzato solo perchè io, nano e l'altra pancia siamo andati al bar a prendere bevande fresche per tutti. Dopodichè è stato tutto più facile perchè nano giocava a rotolarsi sui materassini in tenda e noi lavoravamo!!!

The trip was easy despite the Kid and two pregnant ladies!!!! We took off around lunch time and when it was time we stopped in a service area and, after eating, we took off again: the Kid was off in 10 seconds!!!
We made a second stop for the post-nap snack and gas really close to our destination. The accomodation and tents installation was fast only because me, the Kid and the other belly went to the bar to get refreshments for all. After that it was all easy because the Kid was playing at rolling on the mats in the tent and we were working!!!

Siamo stati a cena in un posto trovato sul momento con Trip Advisor molto carino e vicino al circuito (anche se metà della strada è sterrata) dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene: Il Boccolo.
Dormire in tenda è stato un gioco e ci è venuto benissimo e senza troppe fatiche!!!
La giornata è stata fantastica: sole, caldo, moto. Non serviva altro. Mio figlio è un animale da paddok: non necessita di nulla se non un po di attrezzi, una gomma con cui giocare e acqua per bagnarsi e bagnare tutti. Con risultati pessimi per i vestiti ma ottimi per il resto del mondo.
Per finire in bellezza l'organizzatore aveva predisposto per il pomeriggio una garetta (chiamata pareggiamento) che il marito ha vinto così abbiamo aspettato la premiazione prima di poter ripartire per casa!!! Ale

For dinner we went to a really nice and close to the track restaurant we found on Trip Advisor were we ate really good: Il Boccolo.
Sleeping in the tent was like a game so we succeded in this too!!!
The next was gorgeous: sun, heat, bikes. We didn't need anything else. My Kid is a paddock animal: he doesn't need anything if not some tools, a spare wheel to play with and some water to wet himself and the others.
With bad results for the clothes but really good for the rest of the world.
To finish the day the organization reserved the afternoon for a little competition ( called equalization) that the Husband won so we had to wait until the prizegiving and then we went home!!! Ale

Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino

Questa settimana io e Fede siamo state in “gita” al Museo Nazionale del Cinema a Torino.

Il museo è all’interno della Mole Antonelliana, opera dell’architetto Alessandro Antonelli, che fu costruita tra il 1863 e il 1898. Con i suoi 167 metri di altezza era l’edificio in muratura più alto d’Europa.

La prima sezione ripercorre tutte le scoperte scientifiche, degli spettacoli e i vari esperimenti che hanno preceduto l’invenzione dei Fratelli Lumière, dal teatro d’ombre alle lanterne magiche. Nel corridoio esterno sono raccolte oggetti e apparecchi di varie epoche mentre nella grande stanza centrale si possono vedere alcuni pezzi funzionanti. Il percorso è interarrivo ed è molto divertente anche per i più piccoli.

This past week Fede and I went to visit the National Cinema Museum in Turin.
The museum is inside the Mole Antonelliana, designed by the architech Alessandro Antonelli nad was built between 1863 and 1898. With its 167 metres height it was the highest masonry building in all Europe.

Cinema and TV.

The first section traces all the scientific discoveries, shows  and different experiments that came before the Lumiere brothers' invention, from the shadow theatre to the "magic lanterns". In the hall there's a lot of objects and equipments of different ages, while in the central room you can see some pieces that are still working. The visit's interactive and it's fun for kids, too.

Misano World Circuit

Meta principale della vacanza era portare il marito in pista, Misano World Circuit.
Il circuito è fantastico, talmente vicino al paese che io e il Nano ci siamo andati a piedi con tutta calma dopo esserci svegliati.
Non c'è molto da dire, in realtà, almeno che non vi riporti i commenti tecnici del marito (che detto tra noi sono una noia mortale!!).
Devo rendete omaggio, però, alla KTM, responsabile dell'organizzazione, che sa cos'è l' "arte dell'hospitality". Oltre all'assistenza meccanica e gommistica, il personale era gentile e disponibile, era presente per tutti un locale dove erano a disposizione bevande fresche, frutta, caffè e a fine giornata...panini e bibite per tutti.
Fantastici!!

Principal destination of this little trip was taking the husband on the racetrack, Misano World Circuit.
The circuit is great, so close to the village that The Kid and I went walking there after waking up.
Actually, there's not much to say, unless I report my husband's technical comments (which, said between us, are pretty boring!!).
I have to thank, though, KTM, which organized this event and really knows the "art of hospitality". Besides from mechanical assistance and tyre service, the stuff was realy nice and available, there was for everyone a room where they provided fresh beverages, fruit, coffee and at the end of the day... sandwiches and drinks for all.
Amazing!!

Ode to Misano Adriatico

Misano...
Devo dire che il paese, oltre alla pista, si presta un sacco alle gite/vacanze di famiglia. È a due passi da Riccione (e si può usufruire di tutti i vantaggi che questo comporta dal punto di vista divertimento, cibo, intrattenimento,...) tanto che noi ci diamo andati in bicicletta. Ha una spiaggia bellissima e grandissima attrezzata per i bimbi, parchi, piscine,..
Ma il modo migliore per spiegarvelo, però, è farvelo vedere...

I have to say that the village, as well as the circuit, is really good for trip/family vacations. It's really close to Riccione (ans you can benefit of all the benefits that come with enternaiment, food, enjoyment,...) and we went there with bikes. It has a beautiful and large beach equipped for children, parks, pools,...
But the best way to explain it, is to show you...

Getting ready for a little trip...

Per affrontare un viaggio, anche di pochi giorni, con un piccoletto bisogna essere preparati a tutto. Ed è una regola che vale sia per i vestiti che per gli intrattenimenti.
Per Il Nano ho preparato una valigia che io e il marito ci facciamo una settimana! :-)
Contiene: pantaloni, maglie a manica lunga di cotone, magliette, felpe, body, calzini (un esemplare per tipo per ogni giorno di vacanza più uno), un beauty che è, letteralmente, una scatola, scarpe, giacca, parapioggia per il passeggino, ciabatte.
Ho inoltre preparato un sacchetto con tutti i libricini (siamo dei grandi fan dei libri qui!!!) che gli piacciono, il che è stato utilissimo visto che li abbiamo letti per tutto il viaggio!!

To face a trip, even if it's short, with a little guy take a lot of organization for everything. And it's rule that goes from clothing to entertainment.
For The Kid I prepared a bag in which I could put stuff for me and the hubby for a week! :-)
It contained: pants, long sleeved tees, short sleeved tees, sweatshirts, onesies, socks (a type for kind for everyday + 1), a suitcase that is, literally, a box, shoes, a jacket, raincoat for the stroller, slippers.
And I prepared a sachet with all his little books (we're big fans of books, here!!!) that he loves, which was really useful because we read them for the whole journey!!
